PENALLTA PARC TODAY

Around the horse-shoe ponds today the only damselflies found were Emeralds mainly males with only a couple of females in tandem. There was alot of Common Darters around the ponds with two of the ponds holding some Black Darters.

Flying between the ponds there were three Common Hawkers hunting, while trying to get a shot of one of these I came across this female Common Hawker ovipositing.

On the other ponds around the site I found Emerald, Common Blue and Blue-tailed Damselflies, Common Darters and one other Common Hawker.
