At Lavernock there where 30 + Common Darters on the small pools with at least 8 of them in tandem and ovipositing, plus 2 pairs of Migrant Hawkers copulating and 3 males patroling.
In and around Cosmeston I saw at least 8 male Migrant Hawkers and a few Common Darters.

Well done keeping the blog ticking over Mike. I haven't had much time to post recently (poor excuse). Like you I'm still seeing Migrant Hawkers and Common Darters fairly frequently and the occasional Southern Hawker mixed in. The only damselfly that I'm seeing more recently being Common Blue Damselfly, but they are increasingly becoming few and far between as we head deeper into autumn.
The Migrant Hawker shots in copula are very nice, I wonder how many sites we have in Glamorgan where breeding can be proved?
Hi Mark
The only sites I have noted Migrant Hawkers breeding are:-
Penallta Parc
Lavernock NR
Cosmeston Lakes
There could be a few more near me, its just having the time to get around them.
